Ho, Ho, HOOOOOOOO!

Who doesn’t love Thundercats? If you say, “Me!” then get the hell outta here right now because this is epic/awesome/terrible. (watch it in HD, it’s worth the extra download time)
It took this guy “about a year and a half on and off” to make this nostalgic piece of work. I’m kinda blown away by the actors he chose to portray the characters and how perfectly they seem to fit. Even Garfield as Snarf! Classic.
I said “terrible” up above simply because it’s so sad a real live action Thundercats isn’t being made. I’m sure the CGI version (coming in 2010) will be great but these are characters that really need their chance to shine.
Go give the guy kudos, he’s a Blogger user. It was even featured on Attack of the Show yesterday (*cough*hire me*cough*). Now let’s play, “Who can guess all the different movies/shows used in the fake trailer?” SNARF!

OK – that is seriously all sorts of ass-kickingly cool.

Now, can someone please make a “Star Blazers” live action movie?

  2. Randy says:

Thanks, Jill. It’s been almost a week since we found out and I’m still just as happy.

  3. Congratulations again Randy! You’re so lucky to have sidekicks left and right. :P

Pretty good, for what it is. I think a better tagline than, ‘The Cats Come Out To Play’ would be ‘The Cats Came Back.’

    Maybe for the sequel.

By the way, Jill, we found out today that we are having another boy!! So, I’ll have Robin and Speedy.

    Slow news day? LOL

That’s impressive! Wormy should be working in Hollywood, it’s hard to justify some of the crappy special effects you see on the big screen when a guy at home with his PC or Mac and Photoshop can do a better job of it.

  6. Haha, aaesome. I like that.

  7. Seriously impressive.

  8. Luke says:

wow. that was… there are no words.

I was never actually a Thundercats fan, but even I can see how cool that faux trailer was. I think I have some decent Photoshopping chops, but I could never pull off something in video like that.

I can’t watch it here at work, but I will. Thundercats is still one of my all-time favorite cartoon shows from the 80s.

I remember coming home from school and watching the local Fox station. They’d show a block of Superfriends, He-Man, Thundercats and Voltron, one right after the other.

    Good times.

  11. uh, and awesome. Aaesome is like, a sub-form of awesome

  12. damn, that was all sorts of aaesome actually
