Back to work at HitFix Harpy this week bringing you the latest in geek news. This week it’s Marvel Phase 4, the future of the Terminator franchise, and how Star Wars: The Force Awakens got a positive change from something negative.

And don’t forget, if you enjoy my content here and on social media (yes, that’s work for me too!) please considering becoming a Patron for $2 or more a month, it makes a huge difference and there are exciting things to come that may only be available to Patreon supporters. I’ve also recently set up a PayPal page for those who may not be able to swing a monthly donation but can chip in here and there.

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

I’ve got tickets to a Rockapella concert. I was a big fan of Carmen Sandiego back in the day, so it should be fun even though I’m not familiar with their other songs.

    • That is amazing! Let me know how it is!!

It was pretty cool! They started out with some arrangements of oldies and sang Little Red Corvette in honor of Prince. There was a section with some of their commercial work–jingles for Almond Joy, Dr. Pepper, some stuff for the Today Show (including a fakeout where they started singing “Where in the world is… Matt Lauer?”), and of course the Folger’s “The best part of waking up” song. Then they dragged some poor audience member on stage and got her to dance and sing Stand By Me with them. Finally, after getting the audience to yell “Do it, Rockapella!” they sang Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego and it was just incredible. That silly PSB kid’s show theme song got them a standing ovation.
