Netflix has made it official: Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and more will return for a revival of the Gilmore Girls!

Back in October of last year, everyone involved was fairly confident it would happen but no papers were signed. Now, The Hollywood Reporter says it’s a done deal.

Netflix and producers Warner Bros. Television on Friday confirmed that the streaming service is, indeed, reviving the beloved series. Set to return are stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena. Original producers Amy Sherman-Palladino, Daniel Palladino and production company Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions are all on board for the revival. The title of the reboot has not yet been solidified, nor has an episode count. Creator Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino will write and direct all of the Netflix episodes.

THR also said the most famous of Gilmore alums, Melissa McCarthy, was unlikely to return and you may recall Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore, passed away in 2014.

The previous report had insiders claiming each episode would be 90 minutes long and represent a season of one year, lining up with their theme song “winter, spring, summer or fall,” but that’s still just a rumor. Meanwhile, Graham and Netflix have already taken to Twitter…

Are you excited??? I know I am!

They have the ones we cannot do without: Emily, Rory, Lorelei, and Luke. They have most of what I’d want in Kirk and Lane. If I could just get Paris, I think I’d be in heaven.
