Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, & Storm Reid Cast in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time
Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time has found their Meg Murry, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who to join the already cast Mrs. Which. Say hello to Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Storm Reid!
Oprah Winfrey was the first confirmed casting for the adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s sci-fi fantasy book. Young Reid had her feature film debut in Twelve Years a Slave but already has a decent sized resume. You may recall they were looking to cast mixed race actors to play Meg and Charles Wallace.

With the addition of Witherspoon and Kaling, A Wrinkle in Time is showing what a truly diverse cast looks like.

Directed by DuVernay, the film has a script by Frozen writer and co-director Jennifer Lee.
Do you think they’ll have “It” as a CGI Puppet or will they use practical effects? The cynic that is me says it’s probably the former, but the latter would be awesome so I’m gonna suppress that cynic.
