You asked for it…
Well ok technically MTV asked for it, not you, but I know you’re all going to get a kick out of this. It’s my audition video for MTV’s True Life: I’m a Fanboy.
I originally submitted a whole bunch of information at the NY Comic Con site and had since gotten an email asking for more information and a three minute video. I couldn’t decide if I should focus on one thing for the video, like The Fifth Element, or try to do a little of everything. I settled on mostly TFE seeing as how my written submission explains everything else. So, what do you guys think? Do I have a chance? Wish me luck!
Edit: I also have it uploaded on Google Video now. It was giving me trouble earlier.
Hahaha, well Mark, when you have nieces who come over looking longingly at your “action figures” you tend to revert back to 7 years old in order to ensure their survival.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the first video any of you remember seeing on MTV? I actually remember watching ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’ the very first time it aired. I was only 10 or 11 and I don’t think it really occurred to me the kind of ‘history’ I was watching that day.
But it’s something I’ve never forgotten.
Thanks again everyone! It sucks that MTV doesn’t play videos anymore, (and yes Randy I’m old enough to remember when they did!) but they’ve gotta go with the times unfortunately.

Oh come now, MTV… The blog’s title speaks for itself “Has Boobs, Reads Comics.” A big “WTF” if you guys don’t chose Jill. There are so many men/boys that are fanboys but it’s VERY rare to find a quality fanboy girl. Come on, MTV.

I also agree about MTV going downhill with their programming but the only good show that’s on MTV are the “True Life” ones. I really like those.

While I loathe most of the “MTV” stuff nowadays, I would also watch it ONLY if you make it on the show.
I know how much you love The Fifth Element, but you also seem to have a good knowledge of the DC comics characters.

I have a very low opinion of MTV these days. See, I’m old enough to remember watching videos in the ‘early days.’

That’s fantastic! It would be funny if you were the only girl picked. I’d feel bad though because those semi-reality shows usually make people sleep in one room. Too bad I’m too old for it. I guess I have to wait and see if WWTBASH 3 ever gets created.
