Another Peak at the New Illustrated Harry Potter Novels

While some of us are (im)patiently waiting for what new wonders await us on Pottermore, Bloomsbury and Scholastic have given us another look at their upcoming illustrated version of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books.

Earlier in the year we had heard the new versions were on the way and got our first look at the illustrations from British artist Jim Kay from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Here now are a few more of the 110 full-color works which will be included in the first hardcover.

Rowling said of the art, “Seeing Jim Kay’s illustrations moved me profoundly. I love his interpretation of Harry Potter’s world, and I feel honoured and grateful that he has lent his talent to it.”

I’m still wondering if/when we’ll get Harry Potter adapted into comic books but for now, these will do nicely. The first book will be in stores October 6, 2015 and another will be release each year until 2021.
