The First Gilmore Girls Netflix Revival Details Revealed?
Another series you probably never thought you’d get more of is making a comeback thanks to Netflix and now we may have some details about how those new Gilmore Girls episodes will shake out!
TV Line (among others) previously reported Amy Sherman-Palladino’s hit series would be revived for Netflix, the new destination for your old favorites apparently. They wrote:
Although negotiations with the cast are only now beginning, I’m told all of the major players — most notably Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson — are expected back for the continuation. Additionally, per multiple insiders, the revival will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies.
Now they’re also reporting how those episodes could potentially pan out:
According to insiders, each episode will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year. In other words, there will be a fall chapter, a winter chapter, a spring chapter and a summer chapter. (“Winter, spring, summer or fall… all you have to do is call… “) Pretty genius, right?
Ok, I must admit that’s pretty cute.
Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino will write all the episodes according to TV Line’s sources, which should be a relief to fans who were upset over their departure from the original show prior to its final season. Personally, I’m just excited all around. I never watched the show while it was on but did an intense Netflix binge this year and fell head over heels.
