Lost star Matthew Fox is in talks to star in the film adaptation of a comic book that’s yet to be released.
Billy Smoke is being published by Oni Press and will be released sometime next year. The series, being written by B. Clay Moore and illustrated by Eric Kim, is about an assassin who realizes the error of his ways and decides the only way to redeem himself is to kill all the other assassins in the world. Hmm, rough logic there.
Matthew Fox would play that assassin reports Variety. Peter Sherwin from Oni Press will be the Executive Producer with Basil Iwanyk and Eric Gitter as Producers.
Oni Press currently has two other comics in development, Return of King Doug with Ben Stiller and Scott Pilgrim with Michael Cera.
Wow, Oni’s on fire.
I liked B. Clay Moore’s Wildcat story in JSA Classified, so maybe I’ll check that book out. Coolness!
