In this photo provided by Scholastic, one of only seven original copies of ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard,’ created, handwritten and illustrated by J.K. Rowling, is unveiled Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the New York Public Library. The original copy is made available for public viewing by the book’s owner Arthur A. Levine, Scholastic co-editor of the Harry Potter series, and will be on display from Dec. 4 through Jan. 4, 2009 at the library.
