Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Trailers Bring Manners and Mayhem
No, I haven’t read Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, nor have I read Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but you can bet I’ll be watching Regency era ladies kicking undead ass after watching these trailers.
If Pride and Prejudice and Zombies sounds awfully like Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter to you it’s because they share the same author. Although Grahame-Smith wrote about the famous President killing a different kind of undead a year after Quirk Books published his Austen parody, that film adaptation was released sooner. Bad call in my mind. While the Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter was entertaining to a point, it didn’t have Lena Headey in an eye patch.

Love that one line. You know the one.
The film also stars Lily James (who recently played Cinderella for Disney) as Elizabeth Bennet, along with Headey’s Game of Thrones dad Charles Dance as Mr. Bennet, and Doctor Who’s Matt Smith as Mr. Collins. It’s set to hit theaters in the U.S. on February 5, 2016.
It looks terrible, but I want it to be good. The cast is great.
