Breakfast Club Shared Universe Theory Presents Itself in the Little Sister Trailer

What’s better than Ally Sheedy’s character in The Breakfast Club? An adult Ally Sheedy smoking pot in the trailer for Little Sister.

Written and directed by Zach Clark, Little Sister is a dark comedy starring Sheedy, Addison Timlin, and Keith Poulson. The trailer won me over quickly and then I got to Indiewire’s pull quote “The goth nun family dramedy you didn’t know you needed” and shouted YES!

When a young woman learns her brother has returned from the Iraq War, she borrows the convent’s car to go home to visit him. During her stay, she uses her time home to assess where she’s at, where she’s been, and where she’s going.

It premiered at South by Southwest this year but if you’re interested it will be on VOD October 14. Seriously though, this looks fun (besides me imagining Sheedy reprising her Breakfast Club role), I’ll be looking out for it.
