Geeky Holiday Gift Guide, Black Friday, & Cyber Monday Sales 2017!

The holidays are upon us. If you’ve got geeky loved ones I’ve rounded up a bunch of cool items they might enjoy.

Her Universe/Her Universe at Hot Topic/Her Universe at Torrid already have some sales going on for geek chic items and more!

Small Business:

For this section I put out a call on Twitter for folks who ran or knew someone who ran a small geeky businesses. I don’t know all these shops but I do know it’s important to support them! If I missed your shop feel free to leave a link (and maybe a picture) to it in the comments. If you’re ordering, make sure to check the shop location as some are international. I’ve gone ahead and put new additions first but also included most of the shops from last year that were offering items currently.

You may recognize SummerOfString’s (above) work as it was featured on the final season of Orphan Black. Right now you can buy 2 items and get 20% off (Sale ends December 1, 2017). She also told me, “I’m always open to custom orders and my Orphan Black work is all done with legal permission!” and she offers $10 bracelets a month on Patreon.

Space and Time Collective has some delightful feminist zines and prints on Etsy.

Forgotten Folios tells handwritten stories sent by mail. They’ll be having an Etsy sale in December to celebrate it’s 1 year anniversary. There’s also a subscription service on Patreon.

Bellybeads by Rati isn’t nerdy jewelry but they do say their “main focus is to uplift people of ALL shapes and sizes.”

AdventureLoot has some really colorful scarves.

Jordandené offers geek themed totes, aprons, home decor and more but are best known for their screen printed shirts with famous quotes! And if you join their mailing list it’s free shipping! You may recall I did some modeling for them this past year so I can attest to their stuff being super comfortable.

FanMail, the femme-geared subscription box who have sent me stuff in the past, is run by two women AND they support at least one other small business run by women with each box.

Espionage Cosmetics have cool geeky nail wraps and themed makeup.

The Colorful Geek also has geeky shirts plus necklaces, keychains, and more fun stuff.

Auberg Designs has necklaces, pins, and tote bags featuring women in STEM, Doctor Who, and more. They even have a necklace that reads “feminist” in Klingon: Be’ist.

Geeky Hostess has tea, sprinkles, and recipe cards as well as apparel and accessories.
