Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

No, I’m not Irish, but this lovely little lady is…

That’s Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This shot, released over the weekend, shows the character in her rather enthusiastic Gryffindor mascot hat. Personally, I think this might be the greatest thing they’ve ever done with the series. Though, it doesn’t look like it’s going to roar realistically and that’s a bummer.

I’ll never get over the fact that this actress was just a crazy fan of Harry Potter like the rest of us when she convinced her dad to take her to the open casting call for Luna. She even made her own radish earrings which were eventually used in the film! What a dream come true.
Anyway, enjoy the day! I’ll be wearing my “Kiss me I’m NOT Irish shirt” out tonight. I know. I live on the edge…

Well, look at it this way, at least red hair works on chicks. Definitely not a good look on guys.lol. Also Evanna is so adorable as Luna.

  2. I kind of see the books and movies as two completely separate entities. I know they’ll never put everything in the movies that I loved about the books so I just enjoy them for what they are.

I’ve gotten mistaken for Irish all my life. When I dyed my hair dark that stopped but it’s already growing back in so I’ll be in for some comments tonight I’m sure. I’m a stereotype basher! Having red hair but not being Irish, having boobs and reading comics… :)

As my wife likes to tell me, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. She’s Irish Catholic, I’m Jewish.

    I smell a sitcom!!!

This was my favorite book… I’m not a HUGE fan of the movies, but I usually see them eventually.

I’m surprised you’re not Irish.. with the red hair and all. Look at you breaking stereotypes. :)
