Hey, That’s My Cape! Which GREEN LANTERN in a JL Movie?

The news was inevitable, I just didn’t think it would happen so soon after The Avengers came to theaters.

I’m talking, of course, about the big Justice League movie announcement. Warner Bros. picked an odd time to tell everyone its plans to starting work again on that project. Granted, we knew they were going to make one sooner or later but talking about it right now makes everyone jump to the obvious conclusion – that they’re doing it in an attempt to balance the scales that Marvel’s The Avengers made so one-sided.

But regardless of all that, my thoughts are on what they might do with the Green Lantern in the film! Read my latest Hey, That’s My Cape! at Newsarama to find out with Earth GL I think is best for the Justice League movie.

But wait! There’s more that just that in this week’s column. There’s also the big announcement that this is my last work for Newsarama. Read on to find out more!

  1. Kyle Rayner…He was screwed out of the lame rip off of the JLA book, "Tower of Babel". The story that was concocted for Hal Jordan in it was awful and made little sense.

  2. Guy Gardner…Only so Bats can put him on his ass as he did in JL International.

Although I'm a Hal Jordan fan, I think Stewart is the way to go for the Justice League movie.

John Stewart would be the right choice. Kids know him from the JL animated series stuff. He has a bit of a temeper so the Guy aspect would be present. They would need to add Hawkk Woman to the mix though in my opinion.

Jill, I for one will look forward to seeing complete post here and not bits with a link to Newsarama. I long ago decided to stop reading the news sites and except for reading what you wrote just stay off them. It make my comic reading more enjoyable. So, I look forward to you not being there, but wish they had sent you to cover HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC.

  5. It will always be Hal Jordan for me, but I'm old school. I just want there to be a GL in the lineup!

John Stewart. Odds are if he isn't in it, Amanda Waller will be the only person of color in the movie. And that's only if they put her in it.

  8. Jay Andrews says:

I think Kyle should have a stab at the movies, huh?

Moreover, he might have a wider appeal.
