Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey Step Out in Their Dark Tower Costumes in NYC

Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey have been filming Nikolaj Arcel’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower in New York City. I haven’t traveled to the set but thankfully others have.

Arcel posed for a picture with Elba and producer Ron Howard who has been involved with this project for several years now. You may recall I got a little…excited over the first images of Elba in costume on set of the film. Well, let’s just say McConaughey is also really good at wearing a suit. (And looks surprisingly great with jet black hair.)

Impeccable side-eye.

Here’s a few more of Elba in a slightly different costume.

The Dark Tower is set to be released on February 17, 2017.

  1. NinjinSteve says:

The outfits look a little too slick. Roland’s is too clean and Walter/Man in Black looks too modern… like he’s going clubbing on the Jersey shore.

  2. I am really looking forward to this! I assume it will barely resemble the books and I don’t care at all.
