Ron Howard Reveals the Simple Title For Lucasfilm’s Han Solo Star Wars Spinoff

Director Ron Howard took to Twitter today to reveal the much-anticipated title for Lucasfilm’s Han Solo Star Wars spinoff. It’s um, slightly anticlimactic.

Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Yes. The Han Solo solo film is simply called, Solo. Howard said in his video on Twitter:

Hi. Well as we wrap up production I just want to take this moment to thank an incredibly talented cast and crew for all their hard work. And to the fans out there, I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures that I’ve been sharing. Pictures that I’ve taken from the set of…can we even say the name of the movie? [Chewbacca hands Howard a board which he flips over to reveal the title – Solo: A Star Wars Story.] I’ll see you next year.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
