Telltale’s Game of Thrones Season Finale Trailer Reminds us of What We’ve Wrought

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is dropping what’s likely to be an epic season finale tomorrow. But what will happen? Telltale says, “Your choices, your story: you decide.”

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series has done an amazing job bringing George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire world to life. This finale trailer recaps a few of the excruciating choices you’ve had to make along the way and teases just a bit of what’s to come when the last episode of the season is released tomorrow.

The final of six episodes in the season, ‘The Ice Dragon’ will be available starting Tuesday, November 17th on PC/Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, the PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in North America (SCEA) and Europe (SCEE), the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and on compatible iOS and Android-based devices. This marks the first time in Telltale’s release history that a finale will be available to download simultaneously across all console, PC/Mac and mobile platforms, day and date, worldwide.

The season will also debut on disc at retailers in North America beginning November 17th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 for the suggested retail price of $29.99 USD or equivalent; and beginning November 20th in Europe on these consoles as well as for PC.

If you’re familiar with my work you know I’ve decided to no longer watch HBO’s Game of Thrones because of certain decisions the creators have made. I had a big think about whether or not to continue supporting the game considering it’s based in part on the HBO version of the story but decided I needed to. Why? Because it’s a great example of a better way to adapt the text and not rely on sexual assault for drama. Also, Telltale has tons of women on staff at their company and do great work all around.

When I reviewed the first episode I suggested folks buy the season pass right away. Have any of you been playing? I’m very excited to play Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series – Episode 6: The Ice Dragon but I am so scared for House Forrester I can’t even tell you…
