Hey, That’s My Cape! – Evaluating Week One of the BATMANs

A few months ago I said too many Batmen could spoil the cowl , but where do things stand now that Bruce is finally back in town? Last week I picked up four Batman comics: Batman: The Return, Batman Incorporated, Batman: Streets of Gotham and Batman. Let’s see what conclusions I can jump to about the state of affairs already.

Read my thoughts on the first week of DC’s Batman extravaganza in this week’s Hey, That’s My Cape! at Newsarama.

So outside of JLI, that leaves Bruce and PG who know about Max. That plotline is slowly unravelling in such a good way.

    Hi Jill,
You look pretty by the way :)
I enjoyed Batman:The Return, Batman Inc. & Batman, they all came out the same day as you know.
I haven't read Detective but plan on getting it. I've actually enjoyed reading Dick Grayson as Batman quite a lot. It is a weird feeling to have 2 Batmans, kind of wonder how long it'll last. I have to say that in Batman, Bruce did lecture Dick and I didn't like that. Wonder if that's how it all falls apart eventually ? I hope not. Hope that Grayson doesn't get killed or maimed or something like that. But so far it's really good and fun…I'm on yahoo by the way, so that's why Anonymous on here… I'm Lou and also in NJ :)

    Happy Thanksgiving Jill.

  4. Batman Incorporated was a HELL of a lot of fun, I thought. Anything that ends with a giant octopus is A-OK in MY book. Love the art, but don'tcha think that at times it has a real Kevin Nowlan edge to it? No bad thing, just a little odd, since he's so distinctive.

Have you read Detective Comics yet? I gave it the ol' college try and was pleasantly surprised. A definite good read with a lot of promise.

I can't believe it, but I'm back on board with Batman for the first time in a loooong time!
