Listen to This Beautiful Cover of “Rey’s Theme” From The Force Awakens

Besides Rey herself, BB-8, and Finn/Poe shipping, the best thing to come out of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was “Rey’s Theme.” Open your ears to this cover by 24violins.

Upon my first viewing of The Force Awakens, just as Rey slides down the sand dune, I internally screamed “I NEED THAT TRACK IMMEDIATELY.” Turns out, lots of others felt the same as “Rey’s Theme” has been hailed as one of the standouts on the soundtrack. (Though there’s actually two songs on the album with similar cues, “Rey’s Theme” and “The Scavenger.”) [Editor’s Note: affiliate link – You can purchase the soundtrack or singles on Amazon!]

The creator of the cover writes, “I recorded this cover using only violin sounds and Native Instruments Maschine plus Komplete Kontrol.” The lightsaber bow is a nice touch, I might add. 24violins is offering a free download of their version on SoundCloud right now.
