DoubleDCoverage #10

I’m back with this week’s installment of DoubleDCoverage at the Girls Entertainment Network!

Wow, already ten weeks into my newly revamped reviews column. The time has just flown by. Too bad I can’t say the same for Trinity. In other news, anyone still reading JLA? Reviews for Justice League of America #33 and Trinity #52 are ahead, also, check out my star ratings for my other pulls from last Wednesday!

  1. Yeah Meltzer's stuff was great. From what McDuffie had to say though, there was a lot of editorial involvement that kept him from doing exactly what he wanted to do.

I actually was a fan of Shadowpact but I am a little concerned about JSA. As of right now, nothing could be better than Johns' run so it's a big hurdle to climb.

I always find it so frustrating when comics companies follow a really great run by someone who is very, very sub-par. JLA is the perfect case-in-point.

Brad Meltzer's 12-issue run was some of the best JLA stuff I've ever had the pelasure to read and re-read. McDuffie's run has got to be some of the worst, aside from his initial Injustice For All arc and the Shadow Cabinet crossover.

And I'll tell you, I am kinda dreading Willingham and Sturges taking over JSA. The pair are rather hit or miss with me when it comes to superhero stuff. I hope I am wrong, but does anybody really fondly remember Willingham's run on Robin? or Salvation Run? Does anybody really miss Shadowpact?
