Marvel’s Black Panther Casts The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira as Head of Dora Milaje

Best known for her role as Michonne on AMC’s The Walking Dead, Danai Gurira is joining Marvel’s Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman. She’s playing the head of the Dora Milaje, Okoye.

The Zimbabwean American actor joins Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, and probably Sebastian Stan for the film set to be released July 6, 2018. Gurira recently won the 2016 Sam Norkin Award for the Broadway play, Eclipsed, which she wrote and just happens to star Nyong’o. It is nominated for 6 Tony Awards this year.

Out of Comic-Con also comes news of previously cast Lupita Nyong’o playing Nakia and Michael B. Jordan is Erik Killmonger.

This is going to be the most amazing film.
