Marvel’s Iron Fist Netflix Date Announcement Plus a Picture of That White Guy

March 17, 2017 is when we’ll get our next Marvel/Netflix series, Iron Fist. Remember we already got our first look at the series thanks to Comic-Con but here’s a new teaser and picture of Finn Jones’ Daniel Rand.

Have you watched Luke Cage yet? There’s an open thread to talk spoilers right here!

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

The series also stars Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing and Lewis Tan as Zhou Cheng.

  1. Naomi Almaz says:

Long destined enemy… I sure hope it’s not the Hand or any of its affiliates. The great thing about Luke Cage is that the fight scenes don’t drag on like they do in DD, and I hope they don’t drag in IF, which won’t be helped by a parade of ninja running around. But as always, we’ll see.

    • Alan Izar says:

Since it seems that the Defenders will fight against the Hand based on that SDCC video… Yeah, I’m assuming it’s the Hand.

That group quickly became a tired trope in DD season 2; I’m already yawning at the thought of them showing up in Iron Fist.

  2. KinouMenthe of Thawne Majesta says:

so, essentially, it’s the same scenario as Arrow ? oO
    Colour me disappointed.

“plus a picture of that white guy” is A+ headline writing. 10/10 would laugh in bitter commiseration again.

  4. You know. I’m a sucker for these Netflix shows so I’m gonna end up watching it anyway, but I’ll be scowling disapprovingly the entire time.
