Would Batman Star in a Super Bowl Commercial? He and Lex Luthor Just Did.

Turkish Airlines joined forces with Warner Bros. for a very interesting set of commercials promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice during the Super Bowl.

Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg star in the clips which feature them as Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor in their respective cities. They even set up special city guides for Gotham and Metropolis on their website which feature some fun facts.

  1. Turkish Airlines will fly you to fictional cities, making all other airlines inferior.

I still cringe whenever Luthor-berg is on screen. He seriously feels like a parody.

But they mention the Gotham Clocktower in the tourist attractions tab! Still holding out hope the Jenna Malone is a post-Killing Joke Barbara Gordon.

    • I think we’re all sick to death of origin stories, at least for a while, so if they start us off with a lived-in world, with Barbara as Oracle, misbegotten Robins, and Batman’s rogues as a known quantity…that would be awesome.

I don’t have feelings about Luthor-berg specifically…but after the backhand of having Kevin Spacey cast as Luthor only to discover he was Gene Hackmanning the role, I’m ready for something different. This is different. *CROSSES FINGERS*
