Several journalists I know are at the TCA presentation for The CW and they revealed some really exciting news about The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow.
It’s my day off but I was seeing all this happen in real-time on Twitter and I couldn’t not share! Several journalists I know are at the TCA presentation for The CW and they revealed some really exciting news. Alex Zalben from TVGuide.com is at the event, here’s what he’s been hearing so far…

:O really excited for this!!! Ms. Martian was my favorite character from Young Justice i home they channel some of that into this incarnation. Also Neil Patrick Harris should guest star as the music meister for the musical cross over.

Wait, Savitar? Really? Zoom was practically an amalgam of Savitar and Hunter Zolomon already, they even defeated him in an incredibly similar way to how Wally defeated Savitar in the comics. Well, okay, I suppose.

….I have been thinking that after Supergirl, they would need to amp up to get me back to all their other shows. Apparently they were thinking that too, because here we are.
I’m most excited about Ms. Martian. I’m psyched the case a black woman, intrigued that they cast Sharon Beal who is 43 (I’d assume they would have skewed toward a 20-something actress) and also Blasian (her mother is Filipina)!
Okay, I’m really curious how they’re going to handle a 43 year old Miss Martian. Like, super stoked that she’s showing up, are they going to try and claim she’s still very young, or is she going to be a grown up version of the character?
Sharon Leal looks like she could be in her twenties, frankly. That being said, I’m not sure it matters. Her human form is the appearance she either identifies with or simply requires (as J’onn does as Hank), while her Martian form will be CG, and she can appear however the showrunners like.
That’s partly why I’m so curious. She looks really, really young, she could easily play the version of Megan who looks and acts like she’s in her early twenties. I’m just curious how this is going to play out.
